YashicaYashica Fowler, a licensed minister and survivor in the face of adversity as a child, teen, and young adult, founded project Woman To Woman, Inc.

At 9, Fowler, one of seven children and a native of Washington, D.C., drug-addicted mother was murdered in front of her home while she slept. She also experienced other hardships including, rape, rejection, and verbal and mental abuse.

Despite being raised by a drug addicted father who she calls the world’s best dad, Fowler graduated in 1992 from Central High School in Capital Heights, Maryland.

Four years later, Fowler obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She later graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2006, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Management.

Currently, Fowler is a middle school teacher in Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida and the co-founder of Elite Ladies, a girls’ mentoring program at the school.

Fowler is married to Minister Christopher Fowler and the mother of Cameron, Kristin and Keith.
